Test in Google's Rich Results Test
- Google shows review snippets only for certain item types (Book, Course, Movie, Product, Recipe, SoftwareApplication and a few more); the tool checks the type.
- Reviews a business writes about itself on its own site (LocalBusiness / Organization) are self-serving and not eligible.
- The review must be visible on the page, written by a named person, with a real rating.
Schema helps, but GPTBot, ClaudeBot and Perplexity also need your robots.txt to let them in and real text in the raw HTML. Check it free:
AI Search Readiness Check →Which fields? The ones Google's structured-data docs list as required or recommended for that type (Service, which Google doesn't document, uses core schema.org properties). Valid markup makes a page eligible for rich results; it doesn't guarantee them. Google no longer shows FAQ rich results (fully retired in 2026); Software App rich results need real ratings.
